Profile

Prof. Hamidreza Siampour Ashkavandi

H. Siampour is a Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast, focusing his research primarily on investigating the interplay between nanophotonics and quantum optics. Before his current role, he held the position of Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, contributing to the development of a quantum simulation platform utilizing interacting spins in diamond. Prior to that, he was a Postdoc at the University of Sheffield, where he developed a semiconductor nanophotonic platform for directional spin-photon interfaces. He obtained his PhD degree in Nano-optics from the University of Southern Denmark, with his thesis titled "A Nanophotonic Platform for Quantum Optical Integrated Circuits."
